As an elementary school principal, I have the opportunity to serve a wide range of children. One of the nearest and dearest to my heart is those students with special needs. In 2003, my family was blessed to get to love and be loved by a child with an unspecified disability. She brought so much joy and light to our family and the world around her. Sadly, she passed away a few years ago, but the light she shined on us has forever made a difference in the way my family appreciates and loves people with special needs. Our Peyton had a joy for life that is rarely seen. I am taking the Plunge in memory of Peyton and all of the students I serve.
