My name is Elías Daniel Gámez, I’m 21 years old. I'm from Siguatepeque, Honduras. Parish of Fatima and I met the Missioners of Christ at a Bread of Life retreat in 2015. I saw the Missioners had an incredible love in serving others. I was inspired by their testimonies, I felt a strong desire to be part of the Mission, and that God wanted something from me. After a while I began the process of discernment with the community and in 2017, I joined. That first year helped me to grow stronger in faith, talents, and personal improvement.
In 2018, I felt a desire to be part of the project in the mountains, and after a time of discernment I felt the call to work more with our outdoor camp. It’s a place where young people come to know Christ through what He teaches us in nature, recreation, and experiential learning. I want to work in the area of development and promotion, improving our photography and video editing in the community, and use these as a means for evangelization. I’m also passionate about computer systems, and I want to use my gifts and talents to support and respond to the needs of the Mission, as part of our vision of bringing Christ to the hearts of others.
I would be starting college and study system engineering.
