It has been six months since experiencing our first Project Athena adventure, and I am only recently able to talk about it without becoming emotional.  To see the Athenas - who have faced unimaginable challenges, be they medical, physical, or emotional - conquer something they didn't think possible was awe inspiring and incredibly moving.  The intensity of the experience was overwhelming, meeting a group of strangers and that in just 4 days time they become family.
