I am so proud to be the President of East Bay Children's Theatre in 2023, their 90th year. EBCT has been bringing free musical theatre into underserved schools in Oakland and vicinity since 1933. Even during the pandemic, we created a wonderful film to share with the schools online. You can enjoy a little of that by clicking the link below. We are a nonprofit that relies on generous donations and grants. Producing these shows has grown expensive through the years, with rent increases for rehearsal space, storage and vans. Between now and April, I’ll be rehearsing with the Sing for America Chorus for our Annual Benefit Concert at 7 p.m. on April 16, 2023, at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. This year’s concert will showcase an incredible variety of choral music, beautiful orchestrations, and exceptional guest artists. Our concert theme is “Brand New Day: songs of hope and renewal”.
