I am descended from Okanogan County pioneers. I grew up there and greatly value my childhood experiences. Even as a youngster, though, I recognized that the opportunities I experienced were not available to other young people because of sociological and economic factors. That divide has increased dramatically ever since.

Thus, I fully support FYRE's vision: Our team envisions an Okanogan County where the opportunity for healthy minds, bodies, and ​homes exists for all young people. Every youth should have the opportunity for "healthy minds, bodies, and homes."
