Howdy!
My name is Madison Matlock and I am proud to represent DeWitt County this year! I'm from Lamesa Texas and a proud member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2022! (Whoop!)
My journey to Miss Texas began in September 2019 when my sorority sister, Carly, was hit walking with her roommates by an underage, drunk driver. She was airlifted to Houston, where life saving efforts were made. Sadly, Carly passed away September 21st, 2019. Her loss is felt everyday. Every 45 minutes, someone is killed in a drunk driving related crash. The statistics are staggering and that's why I want to be Miss Texas.
Because someone has to speak up and share the truth surrounding one of our nation's largest public health issues.
Your support does not go unappreciated. I am so thankful for the people who have poured into me and my Community Service Initiative, "Perfectly Preventable". I love sharing Carly's life and pray it touches one person, so hopefully, drunk driving becomes eradicated from our communities. Thank you again for supporting me!
Each year, the Miss Texas Organization is proud to present the Miss Texas Competition Magazine. This magazine is made available for advertisement by businesses, families and volunteers who want to promote their company, show support and wish their competing candidate Good Luck by purchasing a Magazine Showcase Page.
Our magazine is seen by tens of thousands across the nation, is sold all year long and is a popular coffee table accessory that may be viewed through out the year. Each candidate competing for the job of Miss Texas or Miss Texas' Outstanding Teen, sets a goal of how many magazine showcase pages she wants dedicated just to her. Thank you in advance for your support.
We are grateful for your donation and support to Miss Texas Scholarship Organization.
