Reese Gordon is on a mission to make a difference. At just 14 years old, she has already made a significant impact as Miss Hunt County Teen Texas 2023, using her platform to advocate for those affected by Type 1 Diabetes.
As someone who lives with the disease every day, Reese is passionate about educating others on the importance of research and affordable treatment for T1D. Through her advocacy and leadership, she has been promoting Turning Type I to Type None, a campaign aimed at raising awareness and funds for the cause.
Reese's dedication to her platform has not gone unnoticed. For the past four years, she has been a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Youth Ambassador, using her voice to inspire change and make a difference in the lives of those affected by T1D.
But Reese's dreams don't stop there. She has set her sights on attending Baylor University to develop her skills as a Professional Writing & Rhetoric Major, participate in their equestrian program, and become a published author, and a motivational speaker.
As a participant in Miss America's Teen program, Reese has the opportunity to earn educational scholarships at every level of competition. Since the program's founding in 2005, over $1.3 million in cash scholarships have been awarded to 200 colleges and universities across the nation, plus university partners who offer in-kind tuition waivers.
