Remedy means cure. Destin means destiny or fate. I'm Remidy Destyn, and I'm destined to help others. I remember when I was six, sitting on my childhood duvet clustered with butterflies as the first time my parents told me the story of my brave older brother., Ryan. Obviously, I wasn't given the full explanation at only six years old, but this is his story. In 1999, my family was immediately hit with devastation when my big brother, Ryan, was diagnosed with stage four leukemia. Long nights and early mornings, my mom and dad spent countless hours at the Texas Children's Hospital, never getting the opportunity to break away from the reality that their son had an awful terminal illness. There are families worldwide who have similar stories, and I anticipate the moment I can connect in hopes of positively impacting their lives. I know my parents personally would've appreciated a program like "Rainbows from Ryan" to take them away from their own trauma occasionally. I was created from his story, and I'm here to gain a higher platform to help the world.
I was born for the job of Miss Texas. I've been serving and helping the community since the age of 3 years old. I'm asking for your support on my journey to Miss Texas to help me expand my platform and make a difference. Heal and mend hearts.
About Miss Texas
The Texas Scholarship Organization, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) operated by volunteers that support the advancement of women in society by embracing diversity, education, and civic action.
Each year, the Miss Texas Organization is proud to present the Miss Texas Competition Magazine. This magazine is made available for advertisement by businesses, families and volunteers who want to promote their company, show support and wish their competing candidate Good Luck by purchasing a Magazine Showcase Page.
Our magazine is seen by tens of thousands across the nation, is sold all year long and is a popular coffee table accessory that may be viewed through out the year. Each candidate competing for the job of Miss Texas or Miss Texas' Outstanding Teen, sets a goal of how many magazine showcase pages she wants dedicated just to her. Thank you in advance for your support.
