The mission of NAOAGA is to promote the game of golf to those that must play "one-handed" due to a physically-challenged condition for the purpose of competition, recreation, and physical & emotional rehabilitation. NAOAGA will organize local, regional, national, and international competitions for its membership, seek opportunities to educate the public on the existence and benefits of "one-armed golf," and strive to provide a forum for discussion of pertinent issues related to living with an upper-extremity disability.
For those of you who don’t know my story, I was involved in a horrific car crash in the summer of 2007, which resulted in the traumatic amputation of my left arm. When coming to terms with the reality of the situation, I never even thought I would be able to play a round of golf with my two-year-old son at the time, nevertheless be able  to compete on a national stage with other people in my situation. Shockingly that opportunity became a reality when I competed in my first national championship in 2009, and I have been hooked ever since! I’ve had the opportunity to meet the most amazing people and the ability to play at some amazing places, which never would’ve happened if it wasn’t for this amazing association and the help of you that have supported me, but it is truly the emotional benefit that comes with this! I know it’s not a great time in this economy and many people are struggling, but the reward that it gives is worth the cost. I ask if there’s anything you can donate to help me with my quest to compete in these tournaments and share my story. I would be grateful. Thank you in advance for your support!
