I decided two years ago I wanted to run the dopey challenge after having foot surgery number 13, and I wasn’t even allowed to walk yet! I got the all clear and reached for the stars. As a child I almost had my mobility taken from me. I was told I could have been in a wheelchair by the time I was 16. I beat the odds and now am trying to raise money for kids who may not be as fortunate, as there is no cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at this time. Please consider a donation to help raise funds to find a cure!
JAR of Hope is running its 7th consecutive runDisney Marathon Weekend. We are running this event bc Jamesy and 11 other boys are going to be in a clinical trial at the University of Florida. Yes, this is going to be the first of its kind Stem Cell Clinical Trial to see if we can improve the quality of life. We want to make a HUEG IMPACT in this disease. No child has ever survived Duchenne. Its been 200 years and we need to change that! Thanks to everyone on this team this year we are going to do just that!
