My passion for this charity started with, Marylin, a dear friend of mine. With her second-grade classroom, Marilyn initiated the drive for this fundraiser that transcended the confines of the classroom, spreading warmth beyond the school walls. Together, they have amassed four large boxes of coats, with more filling up as we speak! One Warm Coat is not merely an organization; it is a testament to the power of compassion and the warmth that emanates when communities unite for a shared purpose! They are a national nonprofit that works to create awareness of the vital need for warm coats across the country, with its mission of giving anyone a warm coat who is in need. In the bitter chill of winter, a donated coat becomes more than just a piece of clothing; it becomes a lifeline for those struggling in the harsh elements. As temperatures plummet, vulnerable individuals, including the homeless and low-income families, face increased risks to their health and well-being. A simple act of donating a coat, or money for a coat, can be the difference between enduring the biting cold and finding comfort and protection.
