My name is Cathy Zhao. I'm a the co-founder and Chief Laughing Officer of Laugh It Out Hub. Our non-profit empowers mental health with comedy workshops. We currently focus on underprivileged teenagers who are struggling with their negative emotions. We have worked with Palo Alto High School, Boys and Girls Club Redwood City, 826 Valencia, East Bay Innovation Academy, Oasis for Girls, etc. We hope in five years every middle and high school in the U.S. will put comedy class in its curriculum to support mental health. 

Between now and April, I’ll be rehearsing with the Sing for America Chorus for our Annual Benefit Concert at 7 p.m. on April 7, 2024, at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. Our Gala Concert this year "De Terra ad Astra (from the Earth to the Stars)" features guest emcee Robert Picardo (Star Trek: Voyager).
