Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!
Please help me support the UCSF Sheri Sobrato Brain Cancer Survivorship Program by making a tax-deductible donation through my Sing for America fundraising page. The process is fast, easy, and secure.
As you may remember, I sang as a tenor in the Sing For America 2023 Concert at the Palace of Fine Arts here in San Francisco. Here is an example of what I sang with the chorus last year: Sunday.
I am singing again, to raise funds for a program very dear to my heart. You may know that I have been a peer-to-peer Thriver! member, a term I adopted several years ago, rather than 'survivor' to describe my rocky and at times faltering attempts to travel a path through 13 years of my brain cancer diagnosis. March 2024 starts the 14th year since my initial diagnosis.
These days I am doing better, and as a PESTA (that sounds like me, doesn't it?) I have been able to contribute to peer support, to help edit a publication 'Living well with Brain Cancer: Cognitive Strategies' and many other projects during the past year or more. Many of them since I first performed in Sing for America 2023!
Between now and April, I’ll be rehearsing with the Sing for America Chorus for our Annual Benefit Concert at 7 p.m. on April 7, 2024, at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. Our Gala Concert this year "De Terra ad Astra (from the Earth to the Stars)" features guest emcee Robert Picardo (Startrek Voyager) and singer Livingston Taylor.
I hope you will be able to attend our Gala Benefit Concert on April 7. Please use "SFA197" in the coupon box at City Box Office for a $10 discount off the $45 ticket price. Buy Tickets.
It's going to be a terrific show!
Even if you can't donate right now, you can help me reach my fundraising goal by sharing this page on social media or email. Just click the share icons near the top of my page to help me spread the word.
Thanks so much for your support!
