The Humane Society of St Lucie County is a champion for stray, abandoned, surrendered, and homeless animals in our county. They work hard every day to help these dogs and cats find their forever homes. Sometimes, the animals have serious medical conditions and this fund is a vital part of getting animals the care they need! Sometimes animals are hit by a car and then just dropped at the shelter because the person can't afford to take them to a vet. Sometimes animals fall ill and they are surrendered to the shelter because the owners can't afford the treatment. :( There are many reasons this fund is so important and this is my Humane Society focus this year to promote and help fund the animal emergency fund.
