I never grew up much of a pageant girl until I recently joined the Miss Freestone County pageant in my hometown, Fairfield. Once I competed, I was shocked with the amount of love and support my community members gave me, and since then I became determined to do more. Their support provided me with the determination to compete for the Miss Leon County's Teen title, and led me to where I am today in the Miss Texas Organization. I want to say thank you to my friends and family in the City of Fairfield and thank you to the people of Leon County that I grew close to because of community service. Because of you I have grown confident in myself as I compete for Miss Texas' Teen, and I finally had the opportunity to inspire young girls through my experience. As Miss Leon County's Teen I have been privileged to speak to teens in Fairfield, Buffalo, and Leon about my experiences at their age and how I have overcome my struggles through journaling. I absolutely adore talking about my community service initiative, Journal Your Heart: Inspiring Teens to Create Healthy Habits, because I get the chance to inspire teens who may have struggled the same I did and by the end of my presentation I see the relief and inspiration these young girls feel after hearing my story and goals. After my multiple presentations I am determined to continue spreading my Community Service Initiative to more junior highs in Texas, and with your help by voting me for People's Choice, to compete in the semifinals, I have the chance to make this dream come true. Again, thank you for the endless support from my community and county.
