As you may know, I have been a member of the Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps for 19 years and have been privileged to help Teaneck residents and guests in their times of need. 

TVAC is the sole 911 ambulance service for Teaneck, responding to emergency calls year round, free of charge. We are an entirely volunteer organization and have never charged a patient for our services. 

Over nearly two decades as a volunteer with TVAC I have occupied several rolls on the Board of Trustees, responded to all types of emergencies, and participated in many various training drills and courses. Despite now living out of state I still return for a weekly shift, driving the ambulance to emergencies during my shift and helping to train the next generation of volunteer EMTs. 

While many volunteer agencies struggle to recruit members, TVAC remains strong, frequently having 3 or 4 ambulances in service simultaneously.

We are able to do this with the generous, voluntary support of our donors. The cost of operations continue to rise and donations have not kept pace. Therefore, during EMS week, we turn to our friends, neighbors, and relatives to ask for help. Please consider donating to TVAC to help us reach our fundraising goal.
