Hi! My name is Prince Amah. I am a BSc Biochemistry major and the president of VOOM Ambassadors at UNT. VOOM Ambassadors at UNT means more than an organization to me. Otherwise, I would have settled for other organizations on campus, rather than starting a new chapter at UNT. VOOM Ambassadors is a representation of my passion and desire to support less-privileged people with the opportunities I have at my disposal. As someone who grew up in Nigeria, I have witnessed firsthand people who were so impoverished they could not afford to feed themselves not to talk of getting medical treatment. Such sights are impossible to forget and hearing about them alone is enough to desire to make a change. As a UNT VOOM Ambassador, I am committed to helping VOOM Foundation move forward in our mission through raising awareness on campus, hosting fundraisers, and any other means possible. Whenever I think about the daunting task of aiding a country of over 200 million people and remember that everything we do literally helps save a life, it refuels my motivation. One cannot imagine how much worse Nigeria would have been without the impact VOOM has made. That is why my help, and your help, and the help of others is so needed. We can only make as much of a difference as the help we have.

As the North Texas VOOM Ambassadors, our overarching goal is to amplify the reach and influence of the VOOM Foundation by fostering collaborations with A&M VOOM Ambassadors and external entities. In our dedicated service to both the University of North Texas and the Denton community, we strive to raise awareness about the unmet medical needs in Africa. By actively involving members of our vicinity, we aim to mobilize their expertise and encourage meaningful contributions toward addressing healthcare disparities in the region. Together, we aspire to create a lasting impact and contribute to the broader mission of improving healthcare access and outcomes.

The VOOM Ambassador's mission is to voice, engage, and serve The VOOM (Vincent Obioma Ohaju Memorial) Foundation as advocates of the organization. We provide support to help drive the mission and goal of providing impartial sustainable healthcare programs dedicated to quality, with a particular interest in supporting the underprivileged and underserved.

Please join us in these efforts to provide funds for live saving surgeries and support of medical staff.
