Meet Miyah!

Miyah Luekenga, a senior at Las Vegas Academy, is a remarkable Jazz singer whose journey in music has been transformative.

Miyah’s entry into the world of vocal performance began 3 years ago when she participated in Get Launched.  Although untrained at the time, she credits and thanks Positively Arts for recognizing her talent and helping nurture her skill through support and mentorship. Miyah’s passion for jazz is rooted in a connection to its rich history and emotional depth. The genre's ability to convey emotion and personal experience has allowed Miyah to express herself in ways that resonate in her artistic and personal life.

In addition to her musical endeavors, Miyah is a member of the National Honor Society and math club at her school.  These organizations highlight her academic success and ability to balance both artistic and intellectual pursuits.

Upon graduation, Miyah intends to pursue a college education with a focus on vocal studies and serve a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints where she hopes to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world through words and song.
