November Medical Mission to Nigeria

Supporting: Rise & Walk: Medical Mission to Nigeria for The GEANCO Foundation

Campaign has ended.

For those who know me well, I took a life changing trip to Guatemala in 2011 on a medical mission prior to finishing physical therapy school.  This trip taught me invaluable lessons in doing more with less and the impact you can make, even with one week.  I felt so fortunate to be able to use my research, knowledge and skill set to not only educate other practitioners, but to effect the lives of some of the most generous and thankful people I have ever met.  I made a pact to myself that this experience would not be a once in a lifetime trip, but that I would continue to use my skills to effect the lives of others without the access we take for granted.

Fast forward six years, the call to serve has not changed, but life got in the way.  I was presented with the opportunity to travel to Nigeria with this orthopedic surgical team and without hesitation, volunteered.  The team will be providing hip and knee replacements throughout the week and I will be assisting in the rehabilitation process post-surgery.  I am so excited for this experience, the ability to serve a community with such great need and look forward to the lessons I will learn along the way.

It is with these funds that allow the foundation to bring surgeons, nurses, physical therapists and the entire surgical team to a country with limited access.  Thank you for supporting me!

From November 10 - 19, the GEANCO Foundation ( will undertake a special medical mission to Nigeria.  For the fifth time, GEANCO's surgical team will perform hip and knee replacements on poor patients there, where the need is almost unimaginable.

Each of our mission team members is working hard to raise money to help defray travel expenses and the cost of our supplies and equipment.  Your donation will help us impact so many lives, please give generously!

Thank you in advance for your support!
