Campaign has ended.
Dear loved ones,
Because of MiMentor, I have been able to meet mentors that have empowered me through my journey of becoming a future physician leader for the underserved. I was a timid first-year Neuroscience major at UCLA. It was a drastic transition coming from a low-income, medically underserved, highly gang-infiltrated community. I doubted my ability in being able to pursue a field I was passionate about. Meeting mentors has allowed me to reflect on my challenges, believe in my story, and uplift others who might be on a similar path of self-doubt. After graduating from UCLA, I pursued a post-bac program at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. I have immersed myself in building skills to better serve the medically underserved and I'm currently working for a federally qualified health center that provides care to ALL regardless of their ability to pay. This would have never been possible without the guidance, coaching, and opportunities mentors I met through MiMentor have provided me. We ALL need mentors who can motivate, coach, uplift, and believe in US. We need a HIGHLY DIVERSE community of health professionals that will increase the quality of health by offering care that is compassionate, empathetic, and caring. Please support MiMentor as we continue to nurture passionate, committed, and dedicated pre-health leaders with innovative mentorship opportunities. I strongly believe MiMentor is diversifying the healthcare workforce and serving as a catalyst to improve quality of care for the medically underserved across the nation.
WE CANNOT MAKE THIS HAPPEN WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT.
THANK YOU! MIL GRACIAS!
