I am the Chief Information Officer for Alliance in Mentorship and am one of the original founders of the MiMentor organization. I continue to give back because there is a need to support the community.

My favorite quote is "Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane" from Dr. Martin Luther King in a speech to the Medical Committee for Human Rights in 1966. This is still relevant today and is still a reflection of a health care system in the US. As a group, we need to continue to fight health inequities. One way is by diversifying the workforce and producing bilingual and bicultural doctors that come from communities that suffer the most disparities. That is why we founded MiMentor, to empower the future leaders our communities need.
