We were first introduced to the ISCD when we were in Israel for David's Bar Mitzvah. We had the opportunity to meet former and current athletes, play wheelchair basketball, tour the facilities learning about the center's history and numerous programs and raise the money necessary for a child to receive a new wheelchair.
The Israel Sport Center for the Disabled is one of the world pioneers in the field of sport rehabilitation. The Center opened its gates in 1960 and specializes in the physical and psychological rehabilitation of children and young adults living with disabilities. The Good Wheel is a genuine and unique Israel experience which includes meetings with inspirational Israeli athletes with disabilities, a visit to the ISCD and we will cheer on those riding in the 4 day 180 mile bike ride through Israel. All funds received for the Good Wheel Ride will support and improve the lives of many children living with disabilities in Israel and all donations can be submitted for tax purposes.
Please help us to do our part by raising funds to help the Israel Sport Center For The Disabled continue it's amazing and life-changing work!
The 2019 Good Wheel bike ride took place in April in the north of Israel – the Golan Heights, the Upper Galilee, and the northern Mediterranean shores – combining an approximate 150-mile ride over four days and touring opportunities through beautiful and fascinating sites and attractions.
Good Wheel benefits the Israel Sport Center for the Disabled (ISCD). The ISCD is a home away from home to around 2,500 Israelis of all ages, where the unique merits of sports are utilized to strengthen body, spirit and mind. At the ISCD, people with disabilities are empowered to become fully integrated members of society.
Your donation will have a significant impact on the lives of thousands of men, women, and children with disabilities who rely on ISCD.
The 2020 Good Wheel bike ride will take place October 18-22, 2020, and be held in the south of Israel.
