As most of you know, a couple of years ago I met this group of amazing women when I decided to join the Immediate Impact Breast Cancer Walk.  This group supports under served women in the San Francisco Bay Area who are dealing with metastic breast cancer.  This year, in lieu of a walk, we are raising funds to provide Kindness Kits to this same group of under served women.

We lost two dear friends and community members to metastatic breast cancer; Marcia Peterson, aged 46, in March of 2016 and Sharla Fullerton, aged 49, in July of 2017.

To honor their legacy of giving, we have started a new program called "The Kindness Kits."

Each Kindness Kit will include gift cards to stores like Target, Safeway, Walgreens and other items to help ease the burden of living with a terminal disease. Through these kits, we will spread our possibilitarian spirit.

The kits will be distributed to women under 50 with metastatic (Stage IV) breast cancer through our San Francisco Bay Area partner organizations that serve low-income and underserved people.

To date, this fund has raised $19,000 and we have distributed 25 kits. Our goal is to raise funds to distribute an additional 25 kits during December.

Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Why Kindness Kits

About The Kindness Kits

The emotional and financial toll of living with terminal cancer is hefty. As a way to honor our friends Sharla and Marcia, both of whom we lost to breast cancer, and to spread their legacy of kindness, fun, joy, and giving, we are collecting funds to distribute "Kindness Kits."

Each Kindness Kit will include gift cards to stores like Target, Safeway, Walgreens so the recipients can shop for what they want. There will be a few other lovely items to help ease the burden of living with a terminal disease. We lovingly wrap each item so the kit is a fun surprise.

The Kits will be distributed to women under 50 with metastatic (Stage IV) breast cancer through our San Francisco Bay Area partner organizations. Through these kits, we will spread our "possibilitarian" spirit.

To date, this fund has raised $19,000 and we will be distributing 25 kits in the fall. Our goal is to raise funds to distribute an additional 25 kits during the December holidays.
