As a trumpeter, Nate Nall has performed at Kansas City's most prominent jazz venues, including the Blue Room and Kauffman Center. He has been a featured soloist on the nationally syndicated jazz radio program "12th St jump" and was a residency participant in "Betty Carter's Jazz Ahead" performing original music at Washington D.C.'s Kennedy Center. In 2016, Nate won 2nd place in the distinguished National Trumpet Competition-Jazz Division. Other highlights include performing with The Temptations, Michael Feinstein, Bobby Watson, The New York Voices with the Kansas City Jazz Orchestra, Paducah Symphony Orchestra, and Fountain City Brass Band. Nate plays regularly around Kansas City and the Midwest with The Project H, Marcus Lewis Big Band, Ryan Lee's Mezzo String, David Basse/Joe Cartwright Septet, Clint Ashlock's New Jazz Order Big Band, Patrick Lentz Band and his own group, the Nate Nall Quintet, performing original compositions and arrangements. Nate has over 10 years of experience teaching private lessons to students of all ages and backgrounds. As a lifelong learner, Nate also developed skill on the guitar and piano while growing up in a three generation professional musician household. He has served on staff as Worship Leader and Music Director for Christ Community Church-Shawnee Mission Campus and currently teaches at The Culture House Music School in addition to teaching with BAM.
