I am a mentor leader at The Man Up Club. I have the pleasure of mentoring, coaching and empowering a multitude of African American disadvantage males age 13-24. This is an extraordinary work and a very worthy cause. I have seen these young men grow leaps and bounds through the Man Up principles, were we are pouring into them through life skills, social skills, academic discipline and civic responsibility. Unfortunately 80% of the young boys we serve are fatherless or do not have a positive male role model in their home. Please come along side of me with your donations, to help me empower them to graduate high school, keep them out of the prison pipeline and to attend college, or get a trade after high school.
Our goal is to raise $100,000 to launch a Man Up drop-in Club House in North Minneapolis.
The Man Up drop-in center will provide one- on- one mentoring to 50 African American males between the age of 13 -20 years old per week.
Each day of the week will have a 10 person cohort of young men working together with mentors to receive hands-on leadership training helping them to help to develop and build their social skills, life skills, academic discipline, and civic responsibility.
Young men who become man up members will also be fed a daily meal and engage in constructive extra circular activities. All donations and contributions are tax-deductible.
