I am all about color, and as I walked in the shop, I immediately saw the colors of four or five large pieces of glass all in various shades of green and teal - my favorite palette. Knew I wanted a large pasta/salad bowl - something really useful and large -and that some combination of those colors would be perfect.
It's funny. We Board members and supporters of GlassRoots always talk about how much our students can learn from glassmaking, and how important these life lessons are. Well, a 72 year old like myself can have a great time while learning them as well. I learned how to persist, how to plan in advance, how to measure required colors and material, how to think geometrically, etc. and these lessons will help me make a much better bowl next time around. Can't wait K
