Larry Tween-Celebrity Dancer

I am just about to turn the big 50 years old!  I was born and raised in New York City and moved to Montana in 2005.  I have worked for the City of Billings for the entire 15 years I have lived here.  I started playing ice hockey when I moved to Montana and it has become one of my favorite past times.  In addition to playing hockey, I became a referee. I have gotten to work various levels of youth and adult hockey including refereeing tournaments in Montana, Wyoming, and South Dakota.  I fell in love with country music when I moved here and also started country swing dancing in the bars, which is one of the things that led me to this fantastic charity event!

Why did you want to participate in this event?

I have always wanted to do something for charity and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to help out a great cause!  I am a big fan of the Dancing with the Stars TV show and always thought it would be something I would like to do.

What is an interesting fact that most people don't know about you?

I was born and raised in New York City.

Who is a senior in your life that has been an inspiration to you, why?

My parents have been an inspiration to me.  They taught me “old school” values that I take with me to this day.  I owe everything to them and have missed them every day since they passed away many years ago.

Beverly-Ruth-Instructor

I am 21 years old from Billings, Montana. I am very close to my mother and my younger brother, Michael. My family loves being active together, including training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and West Coast Swing. I’ve been partner dancing for nearly three years, and have been teaching for nearly two. I studied Music Education at MSU Billings for two years and will begin my studies in Music Therapy at Colorado State University this fall. I run a music studio that offers discounted lessons to juniors in violin, viola, cello, and piano. Teaching is just one of my passions!

Why did you want to participate in this event?

I wanted to participate in this competition because I love both teaching and dancing. Big Sky Senior Services is a very noble cause, and I’m excited to dance for their benefit.

What is an interesting fact that most people don't know about you?

Most people don’t know that I have a pair of lucky socks that I wear when I try new things!

Who is a senior in your life that has been an inspiration to you, why?  My great aunt Norma is a huge inspiration to me! She is 87 years old, but still keeps up on all the fashion, keeps herself very healthy, and lives alone in Vegas! I’ve never met anyone cooler.
