This July we are hiking Mount Shasta in the Cascades!  The second highest in CA, and will be the highest summit I have ever climbed!  Woah!  Stoked!

The fundraiser this year is going to the scholarship program for Camp Brave Trails, a camp for LGBTQ+ youth.  I have always loved summer camp and the importance of being with other campers, sharing unique experiences away from home.  So much so, that I work at the summer camp I attended as a kid to ensure the experiences of those youth are as unforgettable as I remember.  Summer camp has always held a very special place in my heart and everyone should have the opportunity to experience it!

Some more info below about the organization and camp!

Thanks for your support and supporting LGBTQ+ youth!!

Hello from the Trailmixer Team!

OUT Hiking for Our Community (Trailmixer)* is an organization of hikers that promote climbing events every year to raise funds for LGBTQ+ organizations. In 2020 Trailmixer’s 3-Day Climbing Fundraiser will be from July 17-19 at Mount Shasta. We are super excited to journey up this volcanic Cascade beauty – get your hiking boots on. At an elevation of 14,179 feet (4321.8 m), it is the second-highest peak in the Cascades and the fifth highest in California.

This Summer’s climb is helping fund the Camp Brave Trails scholarship program for underserved LGBTQ+ kids from all over the US. Trailmixer believes in the importance of helping kids engage with other LGBTQ+ youth.

Throughout the year, Trailmixer's members and volunteers participate in leadership workshops and community events to help provide kids with tools and skills to grow up with the confidence that they can be whoever they want to be in our society. We are working on developing new nature programs and activities with other factions of the LGBTQ+ community. Our work will grow more with your help.

So will you do it? Will you support us?

In order to maximize your donation, each climber will cover his/her own costs for travel, lodging, food and gear for this event.

In the name of all the participants and partners of Trailmixer, we thank you.

Trailmixer Team.
