I am Hannah Hoover and I am so excited to represent North Richland Hills in the MISS TEXAS Competition!
Currently, I am a sophomore at Tarrant County College. I hope to attend Midwestern State University in the fall to study nursing.
After competing in the North Texas Regional Competition and winning a title, I have fallen in love with the Miss America Organization. I am moved by how it empowers young women and offers incredible scholarship opportunities. It gives women the tools they need to succeed and make a difference in people's lives.
It is my passion that everyone In my life knows that they matter, are loved and have my support.
In high school, I had a very close friend take her own life because she did not feel these things.
Because of this I have chosen the platform, Prevention of Teen Suicide with a Focus on Bullying.
Bullying is a real issue in the lives of teenagers and often times these teens will turn to suicide because they believe that is the only way out of their pain. It is so important that teenagers feel loved and supported and for them to know that there are so many people that care about them whether or not they know it. It is my goal to bring awareness to this issue and work with organizations to provide love and support to these affected teens.
Throughout my journey to Miss Texas and beyond, I want to make a difference in their lives so that they know they are an essential part of our world and that they deserve to live and thrive here.
I would be so humbled and honored to have your support!
Thank you so much.
