Supporting: Foothills Trail Expedition Fundraiser for The Climb for Cancer Foundation
Warmest regards,
Ron
Due to the pandemic, the Climb for Cancer Foundation had to cancel all of its 2020 in-person events, leaving programs like our Harriet's Helping Hand with limited funding. The problem is, cancer doesn't stop for COVID-19. Even in this terrible crisis, cancer patients must still get to treatment. Postponing life-saving chemotherapy and radiation is not an option. And for many who are suffering the economic fallout of the pandemic, the cost of getting to treatment can be devastating.
The Harriet's Helping Hand Program provides such assistance to those who need it. $5 will buy a meal voucher. $20 will buy a gas card. And $50 can provide lodging assistance to cancer patients and their families who must travel long distances for treatment. Since the start of the pandemic, we have spent almost $30,000 to provide lodging for cancer families, and the need continues.
So, Climb for Cancer co-founder, Ron Farb is hitting the trail once more to raise money. This time he will be hiking the 77-mile Foothills Trail in South Carolina.
All proceeds will go to the Harriet's Helping Hand program to provide this much-needed lodging assistance for cancer patients and their families.
