We are also in need of volunteers. Specifically for Setup/Take down, and Parking attendants. These positions require an arrival time of 6AM.

Calling all passionate health professionals and sickle cell community advocates. We're seeking volunteers to help share educational information about sickle cell disease and conduct sickle cell trait testing at the Medical Mission At Home Health Fair. Greetings BTSSCC Sickle Cell 5K Volunteers
Thank you for partnering with us for the BTSSCC 3rd Annual Sickle Cell Warrior Walk Run 5K! As a community we will have an opportunity to show support to those impacted by sickle cell disease and highlight the importance of individuals learning and understanding their personal sickle cell trait status. We appreciate you joining us to offer your services that can be utilized to improve quality of life, in one way or another, for all participants. We aim for you to have an amazing and memorable experience with us, so here is some valuable information to get you prepared for Friday's Dinner and Saturday's 5K Walk/Run.

Arrival Time
We would like all volunteers to arrive by 6:00am. Once parked in Old Timers Baseball Parking Lot, please report to the Riverview shelter Where you will be greeted by Lukhan Cooper, your volunteer coordinator for this year's 5k Run/Walk Event. Lukhan’s number is (931) 677-0590 this will come in handy on race day for communication.
Next Steps:
We will conduct temperature checks and ask Covid-19 screening questions and practice safe social distancing.
Lukhan will then assign your volunteer stations and who you will be working with in your group. This year's volunteer participation will involve set up, race station, and breakdown assignments.
General Event Details
We are expecting 100 to 150 participants.
- 5K run begins promptly at 8am
- 1 Mile Walk at 8:05am
- Awards ceremony 9:15AM
- The event ends at 10:30am.
