Dear NAOAGA Family,
We trust you all arrived to your onward destinations safely. Realizing that not everyone is on Facebook, I want to share a link to the 2023 AM&C Google Photos album at Erie, PA that I have created (some members have already started contributing their photos, thank you). If you'd like something removed, let me know ASAP. If you or your loved ones or companions took pictures and/or videos that you are willing to share with the world, please add them to this folder. If you are a supporter and would like to see the impact of your kind support, please check them out!

In about 1-2 weeks, I will add the pictures in the Google Photos folder to the 'Galleries' section of our website at naoaga.org.

Hi NAOAGA Family,
One week from today we will start arriving in Erie, PA for our Annual Meeting and Championship!
We have a great turn-out so far, almost 60 players, 6 in our inaugural Women's Championship and 3 competing for the Jr Championship.
We haven't settled on the yardages we are playing from yet, very likely we will play a combo tees. We should have that set prior to practice rounds being played on Sunday and will notify everyone! The Sanders (Net) will be around 5000 and the Getchell (Unassisted) and Fullgraf (Assisted) around 6000. Fairly certain the Women will be playing from the forward tees.
The hospitality suite will be at the Hampton Inn, we are supposed to have a dedicated room, will confirm when we arrive and notify everyone of the specifics.
The schedule with times is on the registration page: 2023 Annual Meeting and Championship - North American One-Armed Golfer Association (flipcause.com)
All activities, golf and meals, will take place at Whispering Woods Golf Course.
Travel safe and see you soon,
Never Quit!
Hi NAOAGA Members,
Looking forward to an amazing week at the Lakewood Shores Resort
in Michigan. Weather should be great, it will be little chilly in the morning with a slight chance of rain on a few days, so pack accordingly. It will be beautiful!
I plan on communicating primarily through email, using the
registration system, so make sure you have access to that email from your phone.

We will
be playing “preferred lies” in all the bunkers on all the courses. One of the great features of these courses is
the many bunkers, over 700. But, it is very
likely they will not be raked to tournament conditions. Preferred lies can be lift and place within a
scorecard of original position, no closer to hole. Ok to rake and place, as long as its within
the scorecard distance of original ball position and no closer to hole. Wanted everyone to know this prior to playing your practice rounds. All other rules will be covered at the Annual Meeting Monday morning.
**Pairings
for Monday & Tuesday will be going out in the next day or two!!!!**

Hi NAOAGA members
and family,
Below is a message from Scott Aughtry, he is a fellow
adaptive golfer and has been a great friend to our one-arm family. Most of the equipment deals we benefit from
are a result of the work Scott has done for us.
Scott has wanted to host an event for years and this year it finally worked
out. Below is a message
from him. Looking forward to seeing everyone
in a few weeks.
Never Quit,
Dan
We are less than a month before y’all come and visit me
up here in the corner of the map. I wanted to give a few highlights so if any of you want
to venture out while here.
Seafood is one of our main staples and you will find
some amazingly good and fresh seafood!
A couple of recommendations to eat would be The Seafood
Bar at the Casino Hotel.
If you are looking to get off property, there is Taylor’s
Shellfish farm Inc. they are fresh farm raised with a small down-home
restaurant.
If you are heading thru Olympia then Anthony’s Homeport
is highly recommended. They are fresh never frozen seafood comes in from the
bay right down the street.
If you are looking for sightseeing then the time of year
is perfect for getting onto an Orca tour and they will take you out to see some
of the local pods.
Extra Golf:
Wednesday afternoon we have it set up for anyone to play
Chamber’s Bay. It is a walking only course no motorized carts allowed. They are
giving our group a military discount at $165 plus tax. I need to know by the
12th of June if you interested in playing. They do offer caddy for $100 plus tip if you to be fancy
and not carry your own bag. Please email
me your rsvp!
I am working on a round of golf for Friday, June 24th,
looks like a great course, but still finalizing. This round will be a cart facility so you
won’t have to walk this course. Please email me if you are interested in Friday.
It stays light until almost 10:30pm, so if you are
interested in extra golf Monday afternoon or an alternative to Chambers Bay with
the walking only issue, please let me know, there are plenty of quality courses
I can help arrange tee times for you.
We are hitting our prime weather and should have great
conditions. Average temps of 70-75
degrees with a possibility of it getting into the 90’s. Rain is always possible, it is the PNW. So make
sure you bring your umbrella and rain gear.
Looking forward to seeing each and every one of you all
and safe travels.
Any questions please feel free to reach out I will do my
best to help and be sure to rsvp me about the extra golf mentioned above.
Thanks
Scott Aughtry

Those of you who would like to use the shuttle, please email: [email protected] with your airline information. When you land at the Seatte/Tacoma airport, Sunday the 19th and when you depart from the airport, Friday the 24th.
