Join us at the Historic GEM Theater in the 18th & Vine Jazz District, Thursday, February 22nd at 7:00 pm for a VIP Movie Screening of THE SPACE RACE; The Untold Story of the First Black Astronauts in celebration of Black History Month!

We connected the KC Star to Mr. Ed Dwight and after speaking with both the KC Star journalist and the Mr. Dwight, we can confirm that Mr. Dwight is trying to coordinate his schedule to join us.

There is a VIP Only reception from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Proceeds go to support the aSTEAM Village NSBE Jr. Robotics and Race Car teams expenses for their competitions, education workshops, and college fair during the NSBE 50th Annual Convention.



aSTEAM Village is honored and humbled to be chosen as one of the global organizations asked to host screenings of this movie, THE SPACE RACE; The Untold Story of The First African American Astronauts.

We understand the importance of sharing our history, especially the untold stories of great humans like Kansas City's Edward Dwight who is featured in this film.
