Good Dads Great Communities is a video and discussion-based program that helps organizations and communities (including churches) address the needs of fathers. It is intended for use in small groups of potential stakeholders who are interested in encouraging father engagement.
The course is to help father-focused community leaders gain the knowledge and information needed to improve their work with dads in their setting (community, counseling center, church, school, recovery center, etc.).
Course Components
- Six professionally produced, informative discussion-starter video modules containing expert interviews, demonstrations and nonprofit history (approximately 15 minutes each)
- Six sleek and easy to use paper module booklets to accompany each video. These modules contain time-tested and proven strategies for setting and meeting your initiative's goals. There's plenty of room to take notes and record your thoughts (8-page full-color booklets)

Module 1: Assessing Fatherhood Focus in your Community or Organization
Objectives:

Module 2: Identity & Values: Who We Are, What We Believe and What We Do
Objectives:

- Explore the four areas of focus in the Good Dads model.

Module 3: Launching a Good Dads Initiative: Where you Begin Matters
Objectives:
- Scrutinize your organization’s core values as they relate to fatherhood engagement.
- Discover Good Dads’ reasons for a wholistic approach for all fathers.
- Explore and assess some of the best places to begin a father-focused initiative
Module 4: Good Dads Strong Schools
Objectives:
- Explore the facets of the Strong Schools model.
- Identify and describe barriers fathers may face to engaging in their children’s educations.
Module 5: Reaching At-Risk Fathers
Objectives:
- Detail barriers fathers may face in achieving self-sufficiency.
- Build a guide for men and their families to achieve their goals.
Module 6: Funding your Good Dads Vision
Objectives:
- Consider various fundraising strategies in the nonprofit sector.
- Identify the best fundraising methods for your initiative.
