Hi Friends,

Several members of my family have sickle cell disease so we jumped at a chance to be a part of a fundraiser that raises money for families whose children suffer from this debilitating and painful disease.. We have seen (and felt) the effects of the disease and would give anything for a cure to be found. Because it is a disease that affects mainly people of color, it often does not get the attention it deserves. We are here to do our part to change that. 

Some of my family and several friends have signed up to be a part of my kickball team. None of us have played kickball for years but we believe in the cause. When we are limping around on Sunday, I know it will have been worth it if we make our fundraising goa!. Please donate to our effort and the effort of Matt and Stacy Bodden who started the LucStrong Foundation in honor of their beautiful son who passed away at the age of 10 from complications due to sickle cell. We need to find a cure!! Thanks in advance. Any amount helps!!
