Over the past 12 years Matt and Aubrey Balmer have been nearly inseparable. It all began as a joke about Matt taking Aubrey snowboarding in Breckenridge where Matt was living. Since then they have shared a full life, which they call their “adventure”. Whether it is trail running, mountain biking, watching a sunset on a deserted beach in a far-off country, they’re in for the fun! Over the past four years they have enjoyed the adventure as a family of three, with son Breck.
A large part of their enthusiasm comes from their goal to have a meaningful life connecting with people. Aubrey runs her own medical clinic for employees of Harrah’s Casino in Cherokee, NC. She loves partnering with people to become healthier physically and mentally. Matt contributed to the community for over a decade sharing a local motorcycle shop with his father. He recently returned to his background in finance as a Financial coach with MFP Financial. They are deeply committed to their family, church, and community of friends.
Knowing their life would not be as meaningful without their community of family and friends has prompted The Balmer’s to accept the privilege of fundraising for REACH as part of the King and Queen court. While they partner with many great causes, REACH is so often the first step in new adventures of so many women and children. It aligns with their mission to remind each person, regardless of where they have been, or where the adventure will lead them, that that they are significant.
