MARCH PARTICIPANT (Philadelphia)

As a Philadelphia Million Father March Participant you commit to attend and participate in the formal march and complete the following:

  1.  register here
  2.  download your registration information
  3.  pick up your MFM kit on 22 Aug 2022
  4.  sign and commit to the Million Father March pledge (in registration information and online)
  5.  administer the Imani Pledge to your children and/or mentees
  6.  take your child(ren) and/or mentee(s) to school on the 1st day of school (connect at a local meetup and march)
  7.  agree to participate in the #RealFathersRead bonding initiative throughout the year

Fathers Lead2Read

This year, 2022, the House of Umoja's Fathers Lead2Read joins with the National Million Fathers March #RealFathersRead initiative • names Kobe Bryant's father as 2022 Father of Excellence • adds Master Griot Publishing's READ-A-THON to the program


Commit to read WITH your child on a consistent basis no matter your child's age, youth-adult-in between. Choose a book from the recommended reading list that you will read and discuss among one another. NON-CUSTODIAL & INCARCERATED fathers are even more encouraged to participate.


You also opt-in to the Fathers Lead2Read email list so you may be kept informed about selected books, in-person and online meet-ups, and the growth of the initiative.
