Thank you for registering for the Redwood City Parks and Arts Foundation and the City of Redwood City Parks, Recreation and Community Services Dept.’s FAMILY CAMPOUT! This event is a wonderful collaboration between the Redwood City Parks and Arts Foundation, the City of Redwood City Parks, Recreation and Community Services Dept., the Redwood City Firefighters and the NFL Alumni Association.

Below you will find information to help you prepare for this great event.

Registration CLOSES Tuesday, July 25th at 12 midnight.

Event Fee:
The fee is $20 per person for ages 2 years to adult.

Event Date/Location:
Friday, July 28 – Saturday, July 29, Red Morton Park (939 Valota Rd.)

Check-in:
Check-in begins at 5:30pm. 
(Check-in is mandatory to receive food tickets.)

Parking:
Parking available at 939 Valota Rd. and 1455 Madison Ave.

Supplies: 

All campers must bring a tent (no stakes) and sleeping bags.  

Other suggested items to bring with you:
Pillow
Air Mattress/Sleep Pad
Blanket
Toiletries
Clothes
Camping Chairs
Flashlight
Water/Snacks

Tents:

  • There is a designated tent area. Please tent where indicated.
  • There will not be assigned tent spaces within the tent area.
  • NO tent stakes allowed of any type. 
  • Please have tents set up by 7:30 pm. 

Air Station:

An air station will be located next to the check-in station for families to inflate air mattresses.


Dinner:

Dinner will be served behind the Community Activities Building. When you check in you will receive a dinner ticket with a time for your party to eat dinner. Dinner times will be assigned according to the order that you check in for the event. We will serve hamburgers, hotdogs, veggie burgers, chips, fruit and drinks. We will also provide s’mores after dinner. 

After Dinner: 
Organized Games, Papermaking and/or Cyanotype Workshop, Storyteller, Sing-a-Long, Campfire and S’mores. 

Quiet Time:
After 11:00pm we ask that all campers who are still awake be quiet and respectful of those who have retired for the evening.  

Breakfast:
Breakfast will be served behind the Community Activities Building. We will serve pancakes, sausages, juice, coffee, and fruit from 7:30am to 8:30am. Meal tickets for breakfast will be distributed during check-in on Friday.

Breakdown:
We ask that all tents be broken down by 9:00am. 

Restrooms:
Park restrooms will remain open all night. The Community Activities Building bathrooms will be open all night.

Pets:
We realize that pets are part of your family too, but we ask that all pets be left at home for this event.

Please leave the following items at home: 
- charcoal grills
- fire rings
- BBQ’s
- tent trailers
- motor homes
- alcohol
- cigarettes
- glass containers 

Recreation staff will be stationed on site throughout the evening if you need any assistance.
