Farmhands is the education component of our work and serves youth, families, the community and emerging farmers and ranchers through the following education opportunities:
Farmhands curricula focuses on the art and skill of growing and raising food through the lens of both cultural history and current farming and ranching practices. All of our programs are grounded in hands-on learning opportunities and cultivate exploration, inquiry, direct experience and fun! Program offerings are designed to meet participants’ interest and skill level, no matter what age, and collectively provide the awareness, understanding and agricultural skills to grow healthy, local food for a bountiful agricultural future.
Guidestone Colorado is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization growing a vibrant local food economy in Colorado through education, community building, and partnerships.
The three overarching goals and objectives identified in our current strategic plan are:
Cultivate learning communities and experiences to increase agricultural awareness, connection, and literacy.
Support the development of new producers and the preservation of active agriculture.
Demonstrate a Commitment to Organizational Strength and Sustainability.
