The Marsha P. Johnson Institute protects and defends the human rights of BLACK transgender people by organizing, advocating, creating an intentional community to heal, developing transformative leadership, and promoting their collective power.
Our work includes:
- Endorsing policies (including the Gender Neutral Bathroom Law, No Bail Reform Rollbacks).
- Creating free digital workshops (including “Gun Violence Prevention Training for Students,” “Collaborative Solidarity: In the Midst of a Pandemic,” and “BLACK and Trans at the Polls").
- And dispensing OVER $700,000 in COVID relief—our very own stimulus package to BLACK trans people.
