Nature Art - Linoleum Block Printing

Celebrate Spring by creating one of a kind nature inspired art! In this workshop, Nikita will walk through techniques for designing and carving your linoleum block safely using a carving tool, how to roll out block printing ink and apply it to your block, hand-printing your block onto paper to create a print, different ink applications, and how to label and sign your work. This block printing approach can be used to make stamps, holiday cards, art prints, analog zine-making, and more. Participants will go home with a unique piece of art and the block used to make it. 

All tools will be provided during the workshop. Workshop participants are welcome to bring printed/sample prints as inspiration should they choose. No prior experience or skills necessary. Must be 16+ years old to register.

This workshop will be held inside in our newly renovated community engagement center. Masks are welcome, but not required.
