Project Roots Production Farm - Tower Garden
Arizona food producers have an opportunity to expand their business and help food banks, voucher programs, schools, and community gathering spaces receive local, fresh produce, dairy, and protein for food-insecure Arizonans. Arizona Food Bank Network, Arizona Department of Economic Security, Arizona Farm to School Network, Arizona Department of Education, and Pinnacle Prevention are collaborating to buy locally grown goods and distribute them through food assistance programs and the statewide emergency food relief network.
Project Roots, a 501c organization, that has been asked to grow more food for the community. This opportunity does not allow us to purchase supplies, tower gardens, or pay for labor. We are asking our community to assist us with non-food related purchases such as the following:
1. Tower Gardens
2. Cooler/Storage
3. Washing Station
4. Farming Supplies, ie: lettuce washer, harvesting supplies, wheelbarrow, shovels, etc.
5. Transportation
6. Labor
